Ok.. I have done the hard part..
I have installed the homestream software on my pc, I have put the correct IP address for my PC, 192.168.1.3 (at the moment, this changes when i reboot, I dont have static ip)
I have chosen a folder in homestram preferences, i refreshed the movies tab and my files are there.
Back on the starview I press the Fn button and click on network file manager.. And my files are there.
I cant get them to play back....
I have tried MP3 files, Jpg photos, AVI files and Mpeg 1 movies ( I converted files to mpeg 1 with Daniusoft media convertor)
Nothing is playing back... Is there a limitation on file size? File format?
any help would be great
UPDATE.. the mpeg 1 file is recognised by the starview over the network, but it reboots the box when you try and play it, it also does this over a USB drive. Any idea what format i need to use for film playback
UPDATE 2..
when i try playback a supported file, a message very briefly pops up saying something about buffering and the box reboots.
Has anyone got the network streaming working yet ??
