Starview 2 is it still worth it?

Hi all, I have an sv2 which I took out of sevice when we upgraded to a V+ setup (free box). I am now thinking of setting the sv2 in my study but it is several years old and has firmwear 4.51 installed. I note that Starview now is upto 7 and is available for ?100 or thereabouts. Question! Is it worth keeping the sv2 and upgrading the firmwear to the latest possible or just give it up and go for the 7? I am assuming that it is a waste of time going for anything inbetween.
