stumped on starview6 with lan

bought a sv6 with lan connection about a month ago,tried for three days to get it working all i could get was fta channels it's lying there gathering dust.any advice would be welcome

you need to download the firmwire go on here and go in to downloads once that is right it should come on go and have a look round on here and it give you step by step on how to do it

thanks very much for your reply but i did download carling and did all the step by step procedures when i got the box.by the way i live in the east london area maybe it won't work here.

had another go and when i put in providers number and press scan it goes through the procedure and then a message comes up 0 channels

First of all make sure your usb stick is fat 32 or it will fail at 20%,then load carling 1.02ups onto stick.Then load the software onto box,after this make sure you have the virgin tv cable in the cable in screw in port.Then connect your internet to the box.One thing is even if you do a scan without the internet you still get all the channels on your box as the net is for the server to open the channels which you are soposed to pay for. After you have done a scan you should have all the channels now go to network and turn it on to ustream for the uk and then exit to sky sports 1 for 3 mins and that should be it.
