About to order starview 7 but......

I'm about to order Starview 7 but I am wondering if I'll get at least 6 months out of it, at least that way I will get my moneys worth.

Anyone know for sure if I would get this duration out of it?

to prevent SV7 freezing and to block getting caught you will need a backwards path blocker on nthe input to the back of the SV7 keep the original VM cable box plugged in at all time and do a diagonsitic test and if all is passed then you will have hassle free viewing !!!

U WILL NEED TO PUT A BACKWARDS PATHWAY BLOCKER ON THE sv7 CABLE INPUT WIRE

THIS WILL SORT ALL YOUR PROBLEMOS

Why would you need a backwards path blocker with the SV7 and on all boxes of this type as they have no talkback for obvious reasons?

The old backward path blockers were used on modded ex-subbed STBs as a method of cutting the TB without physically doing so.

Other than eliminating some noise they are of no value to the SV7.

yer have to agree with satsmo,

the 1000's 2000's and 4000's were a piece 'o' pish to cut tb

but the later model off vm were harder to get at so thats why the blocker was used

as for the freezing problem i would say it is down to the server....router....(homeplugs not being used in wall socket)

peeps use them in 3 or 4 way extentions and they will give you problems

if you cant get round this problem then try and hard wire it straight from the router and see how it goes from that method

The original question from greenie79 was will SV7 going to last 6 months the answer is yes because SV8 is out in April 11 therefore it my calculation is if SV8 will last another month or two after April 11 that guarantees you over six months and the next point is either way if VM has to enter your property in order to catch you do not live your door open use your common sense.
