I personally don't think new firmware is coming guys, been searching the internet since the keys first rolled and the current firmware stopped rolling but have come up empty and the general thinking seems to be that a upgrade is due!!!

arhhh well, i've managed to get a good numbers of years out of the little fella at least!

Well I think it's a bit ~~~~in tight considering some people paid ?100 off of fleabay for these last year and they are already out of date. Funny how the Replay and Replay lite still has updates. There has been no mention of these not being supported.

Unfortunately none of you can complain as you can all watch the freeview channels and this is the response you'll get from the suppliers. Tossers!

I would also recommend that people blacklist the suppliers of the newer starviews as it is likely this will happen to them also.

Come on SunRise, do the business for the guys left behind! I don't personally have one but there are lot's and lot's of people who do. My advice is to buy a Kryptview if no other fixes are coming.

looking bleak for us stv 1 owners, i thought of gettin stv 4 but lemmy puts me off with his comment on it, looks like eurovox then, if we not gettin update

You want to get a kryptview, at least they have good support. Early Eurovox are not supported either by the looks of it.

As yet there is no fix for the SV 2 "the box". So its not looking good for the SV 1. And with some people thinking of changing to a kryptview or eurovox you,d think it would be in their intrests to have a good reputation for supporting their boxes.
But this does not seem to be the case. The fact that the SV 2 has no fix yet does not bode well for the old faithful.
If I do buy another box I will be looking for the best supported make, not the abandoned.

Where is a reliable place one can get a dreambox500c?

Heard these boxes were discontinued and people should get the Linux Black box or whatever it is called, which is similar to the 500 box and works with the same image. Is this true?

the clones are just as good as the real one just put digital kaos image on it follow the sticky and your up and running or even the box advertised on this page is a clone of a dreambox
