starview 7 no network conection

hi sorry am new at this and have got a problem.could anyone help with a new starview 7 that will not detect the modem.

do you need to have the box connected for it to work

no connection =no work,first of all have the box been flashed with firmware then scanned for channels,then hooked up the lan adapter and rebooted router.there is a sticky in downloads link above for the set up same as sv6.

done all of that but when you go into network it is not picking up the ip address.have been told it may be a faulty boot loader has anyone got a link to get an upgrade?thanks in advance for any input given,it is sorley needed.
