    Starview 4

    Hi,

Just about to buy a new starview box and like the idea of upgrading it via a usb pen drive as this is how I do my Darkbox HD. How does the Starview 4 compare to the Starview 3 in terms of support?

    thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Starview 4

I've had The Box Super USB for 5/6 weeks now and whilst the firmware is still beta, I find it pretty stable and compares favourably with the SV1 & 2.
The latest ver 1.05 firmware works great. I'm using a 8 gig hi speed memory stick and also a 250 gig HDD for recording media. No probs at all with recording, playback, time shift etc. Great box !

Yeah i've had my box exactly a week and i've had no problems apart from the obvious over the past few days.

Picture Quality is fine and the box hasn't crashed yet.

Main reason i chose it was the easy updating via USB which has been awesome

To get the program categories screen, key "OK" from any program full screen then use the volume (L & R) buttons to browse categories - select the prog using up/down buttons and hey presto you have the program you need! (this function is not in the manual) Note also the the programs numbers and order are the same a the cable provider - Beware! if you delete and programs, the the box may crash, also you cannot sort the channels as they are in numerical order already -
