Choosing the right Box - please help

I see there are a few versions of the starview box, i.e 5, 6, 7.

Which is the best to buy? Secondly do they have HD on them or not? (its not that important).

Also what do I need other than the box?

I have virgin Broadband and router.

Is the firmware easy to obtain? and easy enough to install?

Are these boxes working properly? or are they getting shutoff like eurovoxes did?

Lastly is there better boxes available than starviews. Or are they good enough?

    Thanks

        Nicole123 your talking crap.
starview aint brilliant but it certainly aint always off.
I paid ?79 for my starview 6 4months and worth every penny for what i get,
        Anyway to the question,
Starview 5 and below wont work any longer due to Nag3.
They introduced the starview 6 that works through card sharing.
Starview 7 is the basic box which i just run a lan cable to and connect to my router.
starview do a Hd Combo box which you can watch Hd chanells
but i dont know if its all of them.
Software is easy to find and box can be set up in no time at all.

        Starvie
        w 6 Lan

tne stv7 is crap, had mine 2 weeks had nothink but trouble with it and so have 4 other people who live in my area and you only have 2 look on the threads that other people think there a waste of money aswell, constant freezing and scrambled signal, should have got a kryptview instead but got a technomate on motorised dish which is far better than watching tv that freezers all the time but anyway each 2 there own it was just my opinion of the stv7

thanks for your honesty Nicole and flea thanks for your invaluable information.

I think I best stick to a KV 780 box just to keep on the safe side.

How much does one of these boxes cost then? what's a good price to be paying?
