Freezeing channels when on internet problem ?

    Hi,

My starview box seems to work fine but when I go on the internet / download at the same time, It either freezes or the non freeview channels go off ?

Does anyone know why is there away to fix the problem?

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks in Adavance

what internet speed do you have, eg 20mb, do a broadband speed test and see if your getting what you pay for, if not complain. you may have to upgrade your internet package, your current speed cant cope with both tv and internet running together.

I have the 50 mb broadband and I am gettin the right speed , I do say that it only happens when I am downloading, guess I will have to limit my download speed see if that helps.

      Thanks

It is a QOS issue and nothing related to his cabling. If he sets up his router/modem provisioning to allow the correct timings of CWs there should be no problem.

It is not a bandwidth issue considering the amounts required it is more to do with latency.

As said the issue will occur when your downloading at max connections. The SV needs certain info at an exact timeframe to allow you view your channels. If you are downloading and maxing out your connection this will affect your timing of getting this info and as such affect your viewing.

If you want, (and if your router allows QOS), you can allow the KV priority or just do not download at max when viewing your TV .

thats your best option, download all you want when your in bed, which will free up tv when you want to watch
