Hi,with the help off a couple of other threads I now have my combo+ set up for Home Sreaming. I have several films set up in a folder and the starview recognises all of these except one. I have tried refreshing and re-locating but it still will not display this film in the menu. Also I have watched a couple of films through the Starview without a problem, however other films will only play for a few minutes then it cuts out and returns to the menu. All the films are of the same format (avi). The only connection seems to be that films that play are under 1G the ones that do not play are over the 1G (1.3G and 1.4G) although on the Starview menu they only show as 1G. Thanks..........

Firstly if you can when you download try and get AVI or Mpeg II format. Alternativlely use a convertor program that you can convert anything you download into whatever format you like. I use iSkysoft Video Convertor as it will convert anything to pretty much anything else and can also be used to convert your recorded files (.tps) from your sv to anything else aswell.
When converting if you have a good size hard drive convert to mpeg II this will give you absolutely no problems with the sv streaming and also gives you full control of fast forward and rewind functions up to a file size of 1.4G anything bigger and you will have problems.
If converting to AVI the max size that will play without problems using my set up is 920mb but after a file size of 600mb AVI fast forward and rewind fuctions crash the box and cause a reboot.
Also worth mentioning keep a small mpeg II file in your home streaming folder about 15 mins long of any content. If you click on an avi file and get the "this file supported later" message, open the mpeg file for a few seconds then stop it and go back to any of the avi files and they should now all play fine........

Hi, is it possible to stream a live feed from the internet e.g sports directly to my tv via my SV HD box?
Also, is it better to stream via a wired connection or is wireless just as good?Last edited by Lampsville; 8 December, 2010, 01:06.Comment
