Simple things first;
You have PROV. TV cable connected to box
You have LAN-cable from router to box, via LAN-serial adaptor.
Look in MENU-UTILITY-SYST info should show Carling 1.03 s/w
If not flash 1.03 firmware to box using USB-stick. Then re-scan.
MENU-OPTIONS-NETWORK-APPLICATION-select Ustream
MENU-ACCESSORY_8989-EMU-check auto updates ON
MENU-OPTIONS-NETWORK-IP setup-set to AUTO.
Often helps to power-off router & box, then turn on router and
then turn on box
This is now latest firmware for SV7Comment

New to Starview 7, USB Dongle?
Just got starview 7 will follow the above posts to set up, I have ordered a USB dongle to connect to my router/modem wirelessly. I couldn't find one saying it was tested to work with Starview 7 so went with from Falconsat called USB WIRELESS WIFI BRIDGE it's made by Vonets and the website said its tested for Starview 6.
Will this work?

Think you would be better to change order to LAN-wifi bridge asJust got starview 7 will follow the above posts to set up, I have ordered a USB dongle to connect to my router/modem wirelessly. SV7 connects to internet using rs232 port to LAN adaptor. The
LAN-wifi bridge will plug into this adaptor.
The USB_wifi bridge may well work but you will have no USB port
available to use for recordingComment
