New Eurovox : very new so not much support or info yet
Starview 7 : C@ble only ..... Records and streams from PC. Needs internet connection also.
Starview Combo : C@ble and Satellite. A must if you have c@ble feed and a dish feed. Records and streams from PC. Also HD. Internet required.
Kryptview A780 not HD. Internet Required
These are the most popular and supported there are others but you pay more on top for channels.

Others for example Dreambox 500c Technomate 6900.
Once upon a time it was all about backdoor 0 passwords, now its only about the rsa keys !!!!!!!

It is not named Eurovox but similar, it is called Euroview.

Re-branded Starview HD STB RRP ?200 so a bit on the high end and will be connected to the same server as all other previous models.

1st firmware release can be downloaded here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-release-1444/

Its a cable box, similar to other Starview CS cable boxes. Spec below:

1 X USB PORT (PVR READY)

Supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 H.264 and fully DVB Compliant

Multi Language audio support; Multi-Language Menu Text Support
            Favorite Channel Selection
            parental guide and rating control
            EPG (provider Electronic Program Guide)

Blind Scan (powerscan) and powerful EPG
Dolby Digital Bitstream out through S/pdif (Optical and coaxal)
selectable output for 1080i,720p,480p and 480i format

            Reservation recording via EPG

I have not trialled it so cannot comment on it, I do however know it comes with a serial RS232 dongle to connect to ethernet and in turn your router/modem.

You're welcome, I would recommend you take a look at not only the threads in the Starview section but also the Kryptview section.

You can then make a more informed decision.

It is not named Eurovox because it is not a Eurovox. It is
manufactured by Starview & will use Starview server. HD is all
very well if server is not overloaded at peak times such as
                    live football matches on ESPN

The server will last as long as it is not circumvented. Yes from what I hear it is a year only sub on each model.

Here is a pic of the back of the box, similar to other cable HD models:
