I have a starview 7 stuck in red standy by mode. is there any fix or some sort of software to flash via the RS232 port?

there is no software via rs232.the only thing you can do try this
1. switch box on wait for a few seconds untill booting has finished.
2. Press MENU on remote
3. Press DOWN ARROW BUTTON once
4. Press RIGHT ARROW BUTTON once
5. Press DOWN ARROW BUTTON twice
6. Press O.K BUTTON several times until you see the red light on the box come on.
keep trying if it fails it will fix this!
Hopefully the box should reboot and the display should come back on and then you can get back into the menu.
