Starview 7-Carling 1.03

hi guys i have read and followed the FULL instruction guide for starview7 and i am still struggling to get all the channels please. i have waited for more than 5mins as stated in the guide but the channels are still scrumbled. please if someone could tell me what to do to get my box runin. the firm ware i used was CARLING-1.03.ups and im in leeds

Hi Im new comer too, I've seen some posts on carling 1.04, is that real or fake firmware, will 1/03 work with current channels, im in uk bham

Welcome to the forum. The 1.04 file was used on the SV6 at an earlier stage but 1.03 is the latest version for both SV6 & 7.

The naming conventions were somewhat confusing.

same prob what is the difference with carling 1.02 and 1.03

1.03 is latest firmware & it's best to use latest version

What box have you. SV7 has no LAN-port. It comes with a
RS-232 to LAN adaptor. If you have SV7 this is latest firmware

any idea why i have got all channels in 'scramble mode?
what can i do to resolve this?
i only just got the box and this is the first thing that it said

Press menu
Highlight Accessory then press 8989 on remote
Now enter Network goto cs network
Switch UK stream on. i copied this from a bytemaster thread. tom.

all boxes sold as fta,you need to flash/update the firmware before doing anything else.

I've downloaded and installed carling 1.02 onto my new sv7, followed all the instructions in the online tutorials but i'm still getting the fta channels. All others are still scrambled. Is it worth installing 1.03 instead? Not sure what else i can try?? Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes install 1.03 and follow the instructions posted above.
