all my recordings work but if i download a film in avi format under 1 gig why will it not play when plugged into the starview thanx

Your USB-stick is formatted to FAT-32 to be compatible with
Stvu box. You say if you record from box onto USB-stick you
can watch any recorded programs. So it would seem avi is the
wrong format in which to download films or else there may be
an adjustment you can make in USB-settings in box menu, but
I can't recall any -
Just reading another thread Bytemaster says if you download
films in Mpeg 11 format it will solve your problem, or if you
download in avi format use a format converter to change films
from avi to Mpeg 11 formatComment
