Dead Starview

Hi Guys
Can anyone help me I think I have made a stupid mistake, cant get the starview to repond with any updates I think I turned it off when trying to update the other day (not that it showed any progress bar) box still works on some channels but when powered up wont go to on and I cant get it to talk to my PC is it poss to re-set the box or have I ****ked up?
Maybe I am not connecting right tried all the com ports I dotn need it connecting to the TV at the same time do I ?
Dont laugh at my stupidity too much lads, please help me i am trying to learn but I is a bit of an old timer!!

it doesnt need to be connected to the TV, let me know what starview it is

you have tryed to load the wrong software on too the box,do you know which box you have? have a look here.....

Think its not a clone 1st generation starview I flashed it back in April wen it went has optical out s vid out sticker under chassis reads

chris there is no fix for the star 1 at the moment as far as i know mate
