hi guys i have come here for some much needed help after spending the last 48 hrs trying to get this update to work i have found out that i am now left with the ( blue mac- error- brick ).
which im sure you can uderstand is why im well and trully peeved considering i had most channels working all be it with freezes and glitches.
ok here goes.
i have a starview hd combo lan all was well running GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_1214.uad and Carling+_0712.UAD
had most channels with freezin and glitches i saw this new update so i installed it using the method i use all the time ( the same one that is on this site and a lot others - please dont send me to the tut's pages ) but when i came to scan for the channels signal was grey but at 98% quality was 0% but know channels were found on any sybol rate ie 6887.
now when i re-loaded the old firmware back on i got the same results but the network settings were now all blue (under auto) even the mac adress.
can some one please advise on the following for me.
1. whats the difference between the carling and the grooverider files.
2. after i return my box to factory settings via 9-pin null cable + software can someone please let me know which to use and how to do so in what order.
