Starview 7 freezing with Internet

Hi,

I have problem when using the internet and starview box together it freezers and stuff, on there own they work great is anyone else havin the same problem ? And is there a fix ?

it may just be the box, mine has been freezing loads lately
are you using splitters aswell ???
this will drain your connection

Yes I use splitters but do have a signal amp and on my dbox it was fine just now using starview it's freezing I have 50 mb broadband thought that woiuld have been ok ? Is there any fix?

It's common for channs. to freeze on box if you are downloading
on computer. Normal computer use should not cause channels
to freeze. Sounds like a router issue. You could try resetting
your NETWORK CARD on PC.
Go into NETWORK CONNECTIONS on PC
Select LAN connections & VIEW STATUS or right click on it.
DISABLE, wait 1 min, ENABLE
Repeat this on all LAN connections that are listed in use
Failing this post back here with signal levels on box, B/B prov.
and type of router used

i have same prob with hd combo+ lan,i can only use 1 at a time hd box or internet,i borrowed a box of my in-law until i got my own,his box worked perfect with no issues on box or internet,but now on my own box i have this prob?,any help would b great,thanx

Was the trouble-free box also a HD combo+LAN, if so would be
worth checking if firmware & all settings are the same on both
boxes

ye it was a hd box as-well, iv checked my box and it says July was the last up date,and i no he had his dun then but i don't no wot fw he has on it mine says Carling,i also dont get itv1 hd

The bin file is probably compressed use winrar or similar app, e.g 7zip to unpack it.

i used 7zip and it wont let me open it

Try the first link I gave you above, plus no need to open the instructions as in link 2 you can see them in the comments section.

If the bin file is not packed there is no requirement to open it you just upload it to the SV as per the instructions provided.
