repairs to starview 7

can any one help me a starview 7 i got for a friend as stopped working says lights are on but no channels at all not even basic ones box is ownly 2months old any one repair them

Have you checked what firmware you have got as latest 1.03 Carling is in download section. Just follow the instruction and good luck.......

Power-off box for 1 min.
Check scart connection is good.
Hit TV/AV on remote control.
Is box responding to rem. control, if not try the following;
Hit
MENU
DOWN
RIGHT
DOWN
DOWN
OK
OK
Keep hitting OK until box responds. If no luck try steps again
If successful you will need to scan for channels

thanks for your help turned out he had pressed the av on the rem
