    Newbie- Help needed? starview

Hello I'm another newbie, and would like advice/help with deciding what to do?

1.) Do I need an ACTIVE cable line for the starview to work? Such as a basic package?

2.) Is starview 7 or Kryptview A780 better and easier to use?

3.) I know you need an adaptor for one of them, but which one is it and whats the adaptor?

4.) Is there an actual picture guide to do the setup or is it easy enough to follow the instructions on the downloads page?

5.) how long does it work for? is there a chance of just buying a box and it being useless within a month for example.

Thanks for any help that is posted, hopefully you will know alot more than me, I have done alot of research on them both and now about the firmware etc, and I'm quite good with tech, but I'm a total novice when it comes to this type of tech.

Yes you need cable connection & broadband connection
Kryptvu seems better but is more expensive
    Adaptor comes with required box
    Easy enough to follow tutorial
Who knows how long they will last

It's OK to use VM b/band. I would scan without removing splitter
to modem, if it's not finding all channs remove it & then scan
Symol rate for Luton should be 6887, if not use 6952
