sv7 not connected

hi a neighbour got a sv7 yesterday and all worked well off his subed modem then 10mins later it went scrambled and said not connected,he tried the modem with his pc and it works well.he tried a clone modem and the the box came back on but will still not work off his subed modem does any1 no why?

hi cactikid hes not got a router its direct to the modem?

if he powers off the box and modem then on then,sometimes units have to be powered off to get an ip address or connection.

thanks for your help but it just wont have it,it works fine with the cloned modem but it not work with the subed modem?

just to let use no,i took my router rnd to his house and the subed modem worked fine!!does this mean you cant plug the sv7 direct to a subed modem? thanks nicole
