hey as i am new to this i would like some help. my starview 7 box is connected and works, but some times it says not connected and does not connect unless i remove the ethernet cable and place it back in. is there anyway i could connect it without doing this?? thanks

Has i know the SV7 was using same file as SV6.

no it states sv7 only,and if you put it on a sv6=bricked may happen.
the goal posts have been moved again .

thanks,but it is connected,but whenever it says not connected it just says scramble and doesnt connect.. So i have to take the ethernet cable out and put it back in which is the only way it connects.

sounds like a network issue,sometimes rebooting router helps

Still no info. Did you try various steps in thread you were asked
to read. Does LED on box flash when you press remote keys. Did
you try pressing CH+/CH- buttons on front of box. Power-off box
for 5 mins & try various steps described in other thread. Don't
know of any fix you can flash with rs-232. Have a read of this
tutorial to fix bricked SV-HDcombo. IT may help you.

insted of removing your ethernet cable everytime, go to Menu, options,network,ipset up, it will say Auto on top box, scroll untill it says Not In Use, all your I.P numbers will appear as 0.0.0.0 then scroll back to Auto, all your I.P numbers should come back on. then exit box, your channels should come back on.
