    starview HD/7 Usb to Ethernet

    Guys,

Just a quick question on starview box HD+/non LAN/7.

Has anyone tried the USB adapter to RJ45? to try and connect to a Starview usb port? i have mines working fine with starview HD+ to a set of Homeplugs.

But will a usb to ethernet work? in theory.

As im interested in buying a starview non LAN, with no adapter for RS232 connetion, so i'm thinking of the usb to ethernet, then homeplug connection to my router?

    Thanks

unless box is a sv6.7 or combo, all older boxes wont work as it has to go to their server to work, there is no crack for n3 so wasting your time with old boxes=radio only and maybe a few channels.

plenty of older boxes around to buy,how many doorstops can i interest you in .

So those who are just reading this post now.

Your basically advising that Starview 6/7 and Starview HD combo+ and non Lan. Will work with usb to ethernet.

      Cheers. (Happy New Year All)

hd combo non lan=no connection to internet, there were 500 boxes made, you could use it as a freesat box.they made a mistake with these boxes,so new ones have an internet connection.sv6 i think has the lan port ,the sv7 has an adapter to use as without it it wont connect, also remember starview upon first connection to server only lasts a year, then buy another box.

I'm nearly sure Sat side of Combo has cam installed to connect
to server. Bytemaster will be able to clarify that when he's on

front of me you & me could save some ink
