I also think that Starview will not do themselves any favours as the SV1 was still widely available from suppliers and off fleebay (still the odd few there) up until just a few months ago. I can see many people thinking like me, now got myself a cheap Kryptview , will be happy if i get 8-12 months out of that then may think of going for a better (more expensive) linux based PVR (haven't got the cash for one right now as spent all my money on christmas presents!)

im kinda newish at posting on here so bare with me
i was wondering as i have a sv1, im after the update, im aware that this may not happen, n would like to do somthing to help everyone who has this out,
the only thing i would like to know is how is the update created (i.e. what software is used), if anyone can help id appreciate this, once i find this out, im gonna have a look at the original updates and the updates that came after to see where the changes need to be made and hopefully we should all have our sv1's working again,
i know it sounds easier than its actually gonna be, but im willing to give it ago, hope you guys can help out,
