starview hd combo usb

hello,i have factory reset my starview combo and was ready to load the new file carling+_F31_1207uad with the usb but the file does not appear in the usb box also the previous carling file is not in the system information, it's as though the receiver has been wiped clean, the FTA channels are on, i have tried 4 different usb sticks and also tried the rear usb port, is there anyway the carling file can be loaded via the RS232 port i have been through the menu and cannot think how to load the file,any help appreciated

Just stick your usb stick into your usb port on the starview box and select the format option.
This will format your usb stick to fat32 a format your sv box recognises. Once done then put your file on the usb stick again on your pc and it should now work ok in your sv box.
