Installed firmware carling v104 yet channels are still scrambled??help

Hi guys, Is there a big difference in the firmware carling 03 and carling 04? I still have 03 installed and it seems to be fine? I guess my question is, is it necessary to upgrade to the newer software? Thanks for response

my box is down, in oxford, was going last night with a bit of glitching, but nothing this morning, turned off box and router, then on again, went for a few mins then scramble, assume its a server issue..

Normally the advice is to use latest firmware, but some people
could not clear all channels using 1.04. When they re-flashed with
1.03 box cleared all channels. So my advice to you if box is OK
on 1.03 stick with it. If you are having probs with 1.03, then use
1.04. You can always re-flash 1.03 if you think it's better

Lot of reports of scrambled channels today. Check Prov website

Each cable provider NTL, VM, etc have websites.
You can check there for any prov related problems

just a note got carling v1.04 on here but channels scrambled could not get it to work, tried carling v1.03 followed instructions and it FIRED UP STRAIGHTAWAY ended my problem

Thanks for feedback. You tell people to use latest firmware and
it's not always right advice. Having said that a lot of people have
used 1.04 without any problem
