Hi guys.
I've got a sv1, looks like there is'nt going to be any new firmware updates for this box(as far as I can see from all the forums). Can the sv1 be used for anything else ie, to recieve freeview channels?

I don't really want to buy a new stairview box (ie sv4) in case theres no updates available in the future.

Are there any other reliable/latest alternatives to the starview boxes?
I've seen people mention dreambox, kryptview and eurovox. Are they any good.

there are a few people having a go at sorting something out for the starview 1, i dont want to get hopes up but just keep our fingers crossed

I too am thinking of upgrading as my clone has served the expectations i had of it. It would be nice to know what the best budget box out there is? with its problems i doubt ill use starview again. Anybody clicked the advert at the bottom of the page? It doesnt seem to be that price on the site??????

Your right. The 500C blackbox is advertised at ?65 but on the site its ?75 (and OUT OF STOCK). Slimeballs.

I wouldn't upgrade until after christmas. There are rumours circulating that NTL are going to nagra3. I don't know if thats true or not, but best wait til after crimbo before splashing out on a new box.

In the meantime, if your fed-up having to manually input keys, you could try to pick up a cheap Eurovox Max Blue somewhere.

How often do virgin media change the codes? If its every couple of hours, its a lot of hassle finding and entering new codes.

Whats the latest keymaster version?

is the euromax blue any good? reliable? good support? won't the nagra3 thing affect this box too?

Hi Mate was going to ask you for some help sorted a few starviews out for mates early in the year now they think I am a Binary code expert, help I am struggling !!
brother in law is doing my head in
wanting his starview1 fix got another 5 strarview 1 owners pestering me I keep telling him no fix yet and maybe there might not be so leave me alone I am in same boat
so he has asked me wot if any box should he buy now to get baqck on sommat that is bullet proof firmware and fixes wise any recos Markh?

Seems like the code blocking or ECM's are a welcome back from SLY seem to remember a couple of years ago a simmular thing happening then.......

You can get the Keymaster from....

If you google bigmaq toolbar it has links on there to keymaster v1.2 and also files and fixes when they become available.

You've probablt been asked this so many times before, however is there any fix out there for the Starview 1 ? From the research I have carried out, there appears to be nothing, surely, there must be something out there

I thought we had one in the downloads section ? , cryptstar V1.4 clonesafe , v257 core ? , am i right , as i've just put both on my old starview 1 .
