hi there. wondered if anyone could help. i have updated my starview 6 to carling 1.03 as it kept freezing and scrambling and would hope this would fix it, problem is it hasn't. ive tried to input 8989 on accessory to turn the key edit on but it doesnt appear. since updating i'm only getting fta channels now. everything else is scrambled.please help. i have a wife and two kids and my life won't be worth living if i can't fix it. i'm thinking of leaving the country so they can't find me.

First thing turn off box & router. Wait 1 min. Turn on router, then
turn on box. Should show CONNECTED on TV screen. If no good;
MENU--OPTIONS--NETWORK--select Ustream
MENU--ACCESSORY--8989--EMU--KEY EDIT--auto updates ON
MENU--OPTIONS--NETWORK--IP SET UP--set to AUTO
If you still have problem re-flash box with this firmware;
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview 6 LAN CARLING-1.03
Then go thru set up procedure again

Hi

Did you manage to get this working? I have exactly the same problem. I did have v1 of the firmware so upgraded to v1.03 but it hasnt made a difference. I have followed all the steps above.

Does anyone know if the Starview 6 now end of life? How can you find out if the server is down?

Starview have had some card readers burn out and have ordered replacements from China, these will take a few days to arrive. I don't have specifics but am told that they will get it back online ASAP.

Andy, please. Did you read that here or did someone involved
with server tell you that. Why didn't they just replace cards with
spares they would surely carry if server could not run without
them
