is it possible to use the bin file i created for my channel order on the starview 2 firmware 4.51 to use on the new starview 2 4.54 firmware

Yes you can.
The channel data is a separate bin file. All you need to do is firstly set it up on the "main" box. Now rig the box up between pc using your null modem. Now follow these steps.
1. make sure box is on.
2. click on "channel data file".
3. Now click on "upload". The data will now be loaded to your pc. Name it and save it - normally to the same folder where you have the software.
4. Now flash your "other" box. I dont have a s`view 2 but indications seem to suggest that you should do a factory reset.
5. After thats done rig up the box again between pc and click on "channel data" and click "download".
6. make sure yu wait until the display on the box changes to a number - ie. 0001 before unplugging.
7. Rig up to TV and thats you.Comment
