Presume this is new box, wonder if mac address of box has not
been registered with server by supplier.
Might be worth flashing with 1.03 firmware, then you can check
that all settings are correct in box menu. These settings are not
accessible with 1.04 firmware Follow these setup steps with 1.03
Digital Kaos - Downloads - starview 7 Firmware & Instructions
Other option is to manually enter values in IP setup

Try the 1.03 first & see how you go. Entering IP values manually
can be hit & miss. Depends how computer savvy you are.
I only had this problem once & I copied values from X-box to SV
box. Then disconnected x-box from router. Connected SV box to
          router & connected after reboot.
I then connected x-box to router & did auto-connect & it connected no problem

That doesn't sound good. Go ahead with what you were trying
anyway. There was talk recently about SV server disconnecting
boxes which had been connected to server for 1 year. Would be
wondering have they disconnected your box in error. You could
              query it with supplier
You could always try the simple things. Check LAN-cable is OK
or try diff router port & make sure router led lights up for port.
When trying these steps make sure box IP is set to AUTO
