Purchased a new SV 7.

Hey,

I just purchased a brand new sv 7, ideally looking for a sv HD, but paid less for the sv7.

Anyways as i put on the new sw on the sv7, there is no valid date, all it says in the epg bar is:-

Connected: Valid to

Weird, i know its a new box...

As i sold my pre-owned SV HD and SV 7, with latest FW with the expiry date on, lasting a couple of months, but my new box does not have a date?

can someone explain this?

Did you flash with 1.03 or 1.04
Are all channels clearing or are some scrambled

After a couple of hours, the date was shown, looks like it was trying to verify the Mac registration with the sv server. Looks like this is a known feature, were now sv users won't panic after this thread.

I updated it with 1.04. As it's new it showing full year sub date.

Happy days....

Still looking to purchase a hd cable box, any recommendations?

none out for cable. best bet is get a dish up and take sat route, lots of nice hd boxes, depends how many pennies your willing to part with as to what you buy.
