hi is there anyboby elses starview hd combo down mines been down all night and even today i checked still no channels it says dissconected please can someone know if they got same problem thanks

Make sure LAN-cable is pushed home at both ends
You could try rebooting router & box. It's possible server has
disconnected your box if you have been using it 12 months, as
box usually shows connected or not connected

had the same problem this morning just unplugged everthing then plugged back in all channels came back on.

still having troble with mine,mine says 2011.01.05,when it runs outit came on at lunch but back off now

When your box was not working did screen show not connected,
connecting, or disconnected
Now that your box is working could you look in IP-setup & see
are all lines filled in with digits or is dsn2 server line 00000000

Just asked another member to check his IP setup to see is
dsn2 server line filled in or not, did you think of checking when
your box came back on.

i checked mine and all had numbers next to each 1 now its not working again dns2 is 12 zeros,as i was typing this the box is now working,this is doing my head right in

It's playing with you alright, sounds like problem is router. What
prov are you using for internet. Did hear of problems with TT
broadband

You should not be having any problem with internet connection
then. If it acts up again with dns2 00000000 check is LED lit on
hub for port box connects to. Might be no harm to connect box
to diff hub port. Hope it's OK since

Don't know what to say to you, Staffy. Is dns2 line all 00000000
again. Seems to be only you having this problem. First check your
signal strength & quality on box & post back values. Then go to
network connections on PC & disable connection that is serving
your box. Then enable it & don't exit page until it shows enabled.
If this works for you don't turn off box when not in use.
What I would do is fac-reset box, re-flash with latest firmware,
unplug LAN-cable, scan for channels,re-connect LAN-cable,
reboot router & box. If box not connecting disable/enable network
connection. If you get box working don't turn it off for a week &
see does problem re-occurr. When box is not working does it say
not connected,disconnected, or connecting on lower screen

thanx for your help eamo 2,well iv been playing about with settings since my last post and iv come across a strange way,in the network box and ip setup turn it off and it works turn it on it disconnects iv tried this 6 times and it works every time strange,also in the in the automatic scan i have to change the frequency start from 306 changed it to 100 and frequency end from 738 changed to 850,so i think iv sorted it ,i hope,thanx for your help

Glad you made progress, what exactly are you changing in the
network settings. Does it work when you turn off auto-connect.
As I said earlier don't turn off box when not in use & see will it
behave. Starting scan at 100 shouldn't make any difference as
there are no channels at lower frequencies, but it won't do any
harm. If you think it works for you stick with it

when i go to network then ip setup i press apply and it comes on with the date of when it supposed to go off,if i press apply it goes to disconnected,i have turned the box off then on and i have to go back to network and press apply again strange but it works,thanx again for your help eamo 2.
