AVI playback

What programs do people use to convert avi to playback on the starview 7.. Im not having any luck playing any avi videos..

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do but if its playback via the usb port, i think that only supports jpeg (picture) and mp3 (music). I may be wrong, but im not sure it can play back "stand alone" video that has not been created (recorded) from the SV itself using the PVR function??
If its media playback on a pc then i recommend vlc because its free, got great functionality, its free, supports many codecs, and did i mention, its free!!

iskysoft video convertor works well

Homestreaming
Avi files smaller than 600m should play fine
You will have no problems using mpeg.

Direct to usb has got to be same format as box uses.
