Starview have had some card readers burn out and have ordered replacements from China, these will take a few days to arrive. I don't have specifics but am told that they will get it back online ASAP.

before ye rush off and buy a krypyview look at sat section dreambox tecnomate loads of choice google card share set up your own server or go to a reliable one NOT paid servers lots of nice guys out there just want to pay there bill no profit involved

Servers are getting paid for their efforts out of goodness of every
one elses heart. Least they could do is post details of probs on
forums so people would know what's going on & people like you
wouldn't have to be making silly guesses.

I have posted basically this question on the official starview website & they said, I cant ask questions that are not for FTA & have deleted my post.

guys, all of you are wrong. from what i've gathered from various suppliers of box's have told me that the people at the starview cable server have said that most of their card readers have burned out. that means the cards cannot be read and the server is down indefinetly. they have ordered new card readers from china and will be restoring the server soon.

You're the kind of punter SV dream about. If server can not run
without card readers THEY ARE WRONG if they don't carry spares,
as they allegedly cannot be sourced locally

i totally agree all of this is too shady and unbelievable but this is what they've said and theres not much we can do. they should have a at least an entire back up system with different servers and cards. with the money that they are getting it only seems sensible and smart to do this but god knows what sv think...

From what I understand is that there is a China Connection as to what form I do not know (parts or server based there), Due to the new year over there no one works during this period. As to the rumour of the card reader being burnt out true or false ? I dont know but the server is up and running as alot of boxes are showing as connected. The only problem we all have is that the Pay channels are not being decrypted, This makes me think the card readers may be faulty and new ones are being sourced from china and due to the new year no one is able to send them out.

The guys running this service are not stupid they know that if they do not try and help all SV users then no one will buy they boxes again and will change to KV or sat boxes.

The servers are in Cairo, it won't be sorted until a new government is in place, everyone knows this.

the servers are really in the back room. i came home drunk a few days ago and pis**d over the servers that have caused critical damage to my servers.. i need to goto the secondhand market to buy a another one, if i can get it cheaper
