Starview 2 The Box Clone?

Hi all.

Is there a thread or post that gives a guide to check if a Starview 2 'The Box' is a clone?

Apologies if this is a repetitive question to more seasoned users but I've searched the Forums to find an answer to my question and the most I've come up with are pictures and descriptions of how to see a Starview 1 clone.

I want to be sure I have a genuine Starview 2 'The Box' before I go ahead and apply the lastest fix.

**EDIT** I forgot to add that the box has 20 x 8 vents across the top. As I say there is a lot of info regarding clones of Starview 1 but not much on Starview 2 "The Box."

Clone??

I've got to do a starview 2 l8tr on for a mate dont know much on these as i'm a Dreambox person myself.
how do i know if this is a clone if so how do i flash this
if its not a clone do i just flash it with The_Box_4.55 firmware to get it up and running again i will make a backup of it first

Could do with a definitive answer to these clones.

I think everyone knows the difference between a genuine Starview 1 and a clone. If not there's enough info around this forum and the internet to find out.

Unfortunately Starview 2 'The Box' doesn't have as much info around the internet. The back of the Starview 2 box, I need to flash, has the scart sockets in the position of a genuine Starview 1 and the processor inside (from what I can see through the vents) seems to be the one in the genuine Starview 1 boxes too.

The problem I have is this box has 8 rows of vents and 20 slots in each row....(20x8). Most of the info says 18x7 or 25x7 is genuine but nothing about 20x8. Does anyone else have a Starview 2 'The Box' with 20x8 vents on the top and know if it's genuine or a clone?
