    Why are they selling ?

If Starviews are kaput, why are they selling on Ebay and also some well know retailer sites, is it FTA only ?

The law says you HAVE to sell them as fta receivers. if you do anything illegal with them, thats your look out,
    Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

Charged with importing 43,000 boxes with intent to defraud. I think we can assume they are finished. I may be wrong tho.

          Starview FTA ?

Are they good boxes as FTA on a cable connection ?

Not knowing anything about Starview and Kryptview as such, I always thought FTA was by satellite and terrestial antenna. Never really heard anything of using a cable connection as an FTA method.

can an old official box be used as an FTA ?

Better off getting a proper freeview box as it doesn't need a VM sub to get channels. And as far as I know a fta SV box will only pick up 6-7 channels, tho no doubt someone can correct me on that.

Who in their right mind would use one for FTA if thats all they get ?

I guess a lot of peeps must have gone down the 'supply starviews' road when the card side of things went kaput, and no doubt they will be going down the 'supply kryptviews' road until that also goes kaput, then whatever else they can think of !
