Sorry for maybe repeating a thread but i am having problems with one of these Starview 2 boxes ...Now i don't know the history but it does not appear to be a clone (Checked the vents 27x7).
No my friend has attempted to update to the new fix but keeps getting the 'on' light stuck on and a blank screen when connected.
I have followed the guide in a thread below and have 4.51/4.54/logo/8.02 firmware....Now i manage to recover the flash when i put the 4.51 firmware back on and i can connect to the tv and scan channels etc ok.
My problem then comes when i try to update to 4.54 ...the App file goes in as normal and i get the download ok....but when i load the logo file and try to send (Background data file) the download fails (Ie times out ) All this time the 'on' button is showing on the box.....The only way i can get anything to go to the box is by switching off and turning on the box as i press the download button....but then the file loads with the green chasing lights and then does a 'flash burn' and i'm back to square 1....
I am not sure what firmware was on the box but i presume 4.54 as it was said to have been working up to the new key roll....
But like i said i get to the 4.51 recovery and all works well until i try to flash the 4.54 .....so i am wondering if i need to try 4.52 then 4.53 and go up in sequence???? Only problem with this is i am unable to find these versions of older firmware???
Any help would be great ...but will persist with it until then
(I am using 4.03 version of the loader)
