help needed !!!!!

have just done a factory reset on my box dv3,lost all my channels except the normal council channels itv bbc etc. settings are... THE BOX
API ver : 4.51e_E
boot ver : 7.0

can any one tell me if i gotta download anything to fix this ? i have the RS-232 serrial cable but unsure how to go about it

are you sure that a sv3 ? an sv3 is the box super

if it is , load the latest gtrom v8.02ee loader and download the new fix into the box , factory reset , 1570 , set emu on and rescan for channels

if its an sv2 called THE BOX , load the v4.03 loader , select the new v4.55 bin file and download into your box and factory reset after

then its 1570 , set keys default , emu on and rescan for channels

thanks ramjet for reply. i have looked more closely at the box, it says dvb not dv3 as i first said. any ideas please

I thought it must have been dvb and not dv3 but you can see how easy it is to mislead others

my advice is still the same but use the lower reply of the v4.03 loader and the new v4.55 bin file etc as I believe you have an sv2 called the box , and it seems to have the original v4.51 flash on it , so replace it with the v4.55 , factory reset and start from scratch with it

use windows explorer and double click on the loader which is the v4.03 one from the 4.54 previous pack , then press the bin button and browse to the folder where you have the v4.55 bin file , and select it , then select the correct com port for your pc and download it into the box , wait until its fully finished and rebooted and says successful on screen , do not rush this part at all

then factory reset , menu 1570 , set keys default and emu on , exit , rescan , finish

sorry 2 be a pain again m8, i rebooted this pc a while back and cant find any files etc on the "box" to open. please oblige

got it saved to my desktop.... thanks im unsure as to how transfer it to my BOX any ideas ? PLEASE

unpack all files into a new folder with winzip or winrar , then follow my previous instructions

got it all downloaded fine ty. another prob now, sorry, when it finished i disconected it from pc & connected back up to my tv to scan etc again, the box will not power on now ?

reflash it with v4.55 again and wait until its completed

after this , connect to tv , let it boot and then factory reset it before proceeding

thought it was strange when you said it wouldnt power up , thought you hadnt turned it on at the rear switch

anyway , glad you checked the fuse and glad its sorted
