CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SUM ADVICE, IVE GOT A STARVEIW 7 BUT AS WE ALL KNOW THERE GONE. I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD NEED TO GO SAT, AND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST. IVE GOT A SKY DISH UP FROM PREVIOUS OWNER OF MY HOUSE, COULD I USE THIS AND DO I NEED TO SUBSCRIBE TO SKY? THANKS

well r u going to want hd if not get yourself a dreambox 500s good box to learn from but i will say most want hd now dm800 good but around 200 to buy openbox do one for around 80 to 90 pound and the only thing i can find wrong with it is the sound plays up some times and u have to mess with it to get it right how much do u want to spend.

I too am a newbie who only discovered this site whilst trying to discover why my starview box went down, it seems clear that even if we are lucky enough to have the starview boxes come on again ( but i'm not holding my breath) they don't seem to be very realiable, i am seriously considering SAT, preferably HD, what advice would you give regarding type of SAT box to buy and Satelite to use?

I must admit, i am a novice at this so any / all advice would be much appreciated.

Ok so i'm a Sv combo user (was) and now i want to use the sat side of the box to do the obvious.....! is there a TuT somewhere on the site that shows/tells me how to do it and how and where to enter the relevant info, also you guys say never pay anyone for anything its all free..... really, i understand i still need some sort of sub to get all the channels i want and the HD stuff where do i get that for free.

Now as i understand it i cant be given all this information without someone breaking the rules so without PM'ing someone/me how do you suppose i/we go about it.

If someone would like to PM me with all this info i would appreciate it greatly, if your charging for the info please dont bother and i will report you to the mod's.

i have a starview hd combo plus lan with carling F5.31 but im having trouble trying to get the CS NET option up in network it just says hs net status disconected and i dont know why i would appreciate it if someone could help me
