Help, ive been trying and looking for hours. We have a starview 1 i have found the loader GTRom v4.00. I have looked for a fix, thought id found it and flashed the box with it but when connected back to tv. will not let me access menu to scan for channels. Can anyone help me pls?? I have tried to flash other fixes and it just fails.

Sorry Spudman, there is still no fix for Starview1, and the consensus seems to be that there may not be one. All you can do is enter keys manually for now and hope that a fix is made in the near future

How can yu actually tell the type of the box.My brother's box is written THE BOX and its stuck on the green light on right hand side of the display panel.

if it says the box its a sv2 , just reflash it with the v4.03 loader and the v4.55 bin file and factory reset it etc

Hi spudman,
If you used a sv2 flash on the sv1 then try the following. It sorted mine


Use the gtrom loader 4 and instal the previous firmware ie
NB you will have to select download then quickly turn the box on.
files can be found here
4shared - free file sharing and storage - share folder - My 4shared
first use CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin then update with
STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE_api.bin

will reboot to instal screen and rescan.

You will need manual key update as there isnt a autorol update yet for sv1

There will be a fix out for the SV1.

I hope your right the starview 1 seems to be struggling when doing a scan. Bad time of the year to be shelling out for a new box. Anyway lets see what happens in the next few days
