hi all i have a starview 1 and only getting 48 channels i have all the latest stuff on there begging to think the tuner is up the spout any suggestions????

there is no auto update fix for this box.
firstly read here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-v1-2-a-15751/
this gives you very important info that can help you get the missing channels. download this and when you open it you will be able to see keys information 00 and 01 for your relevant provider.
now on your remote press:
1. menu;
2. a menu appears now press 1570;
3. another menu appears - on nagravision press ok;
4. another menu appears !! change the provider (i.e. ntl by pressing the> key).
5. you can change the key number 00 to 01 by moving down to the key number and pressing > key.
5. once you have your provider go down to key data and alter the data to match that obtained from keymaster.
6. press ok once you have saved the data and exit back to tv.
