The price of Petrol versus Printer Ink.

The price of Petrol versus Printer Ink

All these examples do NOT imply that petrol is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....

    Compared with Petrol......

Think a gallon of petrol is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

    Diet Snapple 16 oz ?1.29 .. ?10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz ?1.19 ...........?9.52 per gallon

    Ocean Spray 16 oz ?1.25 ......... ?10.00 per gallon

    Brake Fluid 12 oz ?3.15 ...... ?33.60 per gallon

    Vick's Nyquil 6 oz ?8.35 ... ?178..13 per gallon

    Pepto Bismol 4 oz ?3.85 . ?123.20 per gallon

    Tippex 7 oz ?1.39 ....... . ?25.42 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz ?1.49..?21.19 per gallon! ?21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

    (Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

You don't even want to compare it with perfume or after shave.

Ever wonder why printers are so cheap?

So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at.................
(you won't believe it....but it is true........)
?5,200 a gal... (five thousand two hundred pounds)

So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, or Tippex, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

Just a little humour to help ease the pain of your next trip to the petrol pump...
I know you believe you understand what you think i said

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BUT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what i meant ! sigpic

well its not really humourous is it? because its true!
I'm one of the ones who does moan about petrol prices on an almost daily basis, but when you think about the amount of work needed to get oil from the sea bed into our cars compared to your example of water, petrol IS really cheap!
    Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

Heres another kick in the teeth. You have to pay tax on tax. Im pretty sure VAT is charged on fuel duty.

                And canuks in Canada

                Volume Corrected to 15c

They sell amount of volume,,, not weight / mass / BTU's

                BUT after last week on buying fuels , Gas/Petrol & Diesel 850.00 + .

I filled up 60 L barrels of ELF / Total EU oil barrels that I open 2 a week(new oil full synthetic for the part time euro fancys). I know where their fill line is , it is 29mm or 1.3" from the top. If I am to fill the diesel to that amount like last week , 62- 63 L(two different stations) it took . Petrol / gas was even worse , 64 + , again two different stations .
I Also purchase fuel in USA , the other house , My tank gets bigger in Canada, less in USA , Manual seems correct to USA fills..

                Try to stomach that crap..

I think he's trying to say that when he fills his tank at one station it takes x amount of fuel but at another it takes x and a bit more. In other words the stations need to calibrate their pumps or they are deliberately ripping the customers off.
