Was lucky enough to see him live in Blackpool many years back , took him five minutes chunnering and laughing , before he eventually made it through the curtains and on to the stage , by which time the audience ( me included ! ) were in tears laughing .It was as much the man and his timing , rather than his jokes
, i don't think he'll be forgotten for a while !
