After many years of trying, a tribe of Apaches finally captured the
Lone Ranger. They tied him to a stake and laid a fire around his
feet. As they danced and prepared to light the fire, the chief
asked if he had a last request. "Of course," the Lone Ranger said,
"let me say goodbye to my horse Silver." The indians brought the
great white horse over and the captive hugged his neck and
whispered into his ear. After a moment the horse reared up and
trotted off. The Apaches continued their preparations.
A while later, Silver returned with a gorgeous natural (if you
don't know how to tell, don't ask) blonde. The indians grinned and
the Ranger asked the chief for a few minutes alone with the woman.
The chief said to use his tent and shortly there were loud sounds
of passion. When the Ranger returned, he asked the chief if he
could speak to his horse again. His wish granted, the masked man
again put his arms around the horse's neck and whispered into his
ear. Again the horse trotted off and the indians continued their
preparations.
Pounding hoofs signaled the return of the horse. This time the
rider was a long-haired redhead, even more beautiful than the first
woman. The Lone Ranger shrugged his shoulders and asked the chief
for the use of his tent again. Again the chief allowed the
interruption of the elaborate ritual preparations. There were the
usual moans and screams from the tent and finally the Ranger opened
the tent flap. When he did, he asked if he could talk to the horse
once more. The chief agreed.
The indians held the horse's reins carefully as the Ranger caressed
his mane and spoke softly to him. Shaking his head to show he
understood, Silver pulled away and trotted off. The Apaches went
back to their dance.
Some time later, the horse came racing back, all lathered up from
his effort. On his back was a brunette even more stunning than the
blonde or redhead. Our hero sighed, the chief rolled his eyes
skyward and just pointed to his tent. Quite a while later, after
somewhat less passionate noise, the Ranger emerged and asked
permission to talk to the horse. The chief nodded.
The Lone Ranger walked over to the horse, who bent his head down.
Carefully holding the horse's ears, the Ranger put his head close
and shouted, "I ... SAID ... _POSSE_!"
