I think you are missing the point here standarren. You asked as to whether you should lie about qualifications and as soon as you receive a reply from someone who has taken the time to give an opinion, one you obviously don't like, you brand the person an arsehole. Seems to me your mind was made up before you posted.
Incidently , a lot of people on DK have given a lot of their time and experience to you throughout the different forums on DK and to the best of my knowledge it has been all take on your part.

If you do lie and you get caught, you could get the book thrown at you, and possibly even a criminal record. You are after all forging official documents, you are talking about quite serious consequences (possibly) if something goes wrong in engineering or M&E environment. A HNC costs about ?250 a year - a 2 year course. Why dont you just go and do the course.

I also have to say, no point having a go at the other poster and bemoaning your situation. A lot of people on here I suspect where in the same boat - I know I was, but I paid by hook or crook for my course and worked at least 2 jobs during the week and a few hours on a Saturday morning to pay for it - all this whilst studying nightschool. How would you feel if you completed your HNC and put all the hard work in, and then found out someone had been given the job who had lied through the teeth to get it and took it from possibly from you.

You pays your money you takes your chance.

How long have you been an Engineer? Usually if you have been doing it or really any job for atleast 10 years you don't need any college.
