Virus or real?

My screen saver was running and the red screen appears on my pc. Blocked, I can't shut him down. It says something about using illegal software, downloading movies, music, watching ~~~~s etc. It says in 24hours cops will be noticed. They will come to take me and my pc for the violation. And penalty up to 5 years of jale. You have an option to click next and when you do it gives you a number to call. Say, you will be charged 0.7 dollars from your country to call and to uninstall the s/w, something like that. Of course I did not call it.

Anyone knows something about this. I think it is a false alarm but it is not comfortable. I have avast installed on my pc.

Please answer.

virus. try restart in safe mode and run malwarebytes
ctrl alt delete a couple times might restart you

I have restarted in safe mode right away and deleted three files that was suspicious to me which I have downloaded about 2-3 hours ago. I have restarted comp then and it works fine but I am not sure.

~~~~in chancers. a mate asked me to get him a laptop last year to learn to internetz. i only found out a few weeks ago that he had chanced upon something like that and had given money to them.

yeah..they wouldn't give you a warning so you can get rid of the evidence...the real cops will try to get you when you're not prepared..

Opps, seen something few times before, it self installs, and becomes
'part' of windows, last 3 times, ended up reformatting, as nothing would shift it.

next time it comes up on screen try this, sake of argument it says

" 24hours cops will be noticed"
type in google

remove: "24hours cops will be noticed"
