Why do they have to read English? The benefits are written in loads of different languages. Ban all religious teaching in schools, after all they don't ram other fairy tales down the kids throats.

If you want Muslim children to learn other languages, like Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, there's a place called collage for that, and if they go to a collage, that will do more for integration than any separate schools, you advocate,
when I went to school (CoE school), we had the choice of French or German, but it didn't stop me making friends with people from other cultures and different mother tongues.
growing up in Oldham I saw Muslim children going to multi-educational language schools, and look what good that did, Oldham is still a segregated town, Muslim in one half, and Christian in the other, and the Muslims don't want to integrate, they talk like you do, we want our own schools, shops, doctors surgeries, districts to live in, and all this segregation starts with schools.
you need to accept you or your parents came to an, English speaking Christian country, with western ways of life, and English law, get used to it.

Religious education and programming should be kept in churches.
Want your kid to learn about religion? send them to Sunday school away from actual school so that classes can be used for something useful.

If its a choice between learning to read, write, and count or fantasy stories, I know for a fact which should eat up class time.

Witchy hit the nail square on the head here, im a dirty Hun I was diligently brought up to believe that the Taigue bogtrotter school down the road was nothing but a target for extracurricular riots. Worryingly enough the same places my mates used to stash weaponry, (Stanley blades, clubs with nails in em, hammers and the like) for a good old "MON EN!" down the common are still well stocked by not one but two generations of kids since then.
The west of Scotland is renowned for segregation and sectarianism, this even carries through to the workplace and is especially evident on old firm game days. Do i hate Catholics? nah, but i know several of my friends do, I also have several friends on the other side of the fence too who hate Proddies equally as much. I can see past the bullshit that's been blatantly programmed into my peers.

So nah, i don't think religious schools are a good idea, they're nothing but breeding factories of intolerance and hatred.

If you want to fill your child's head with nonsense, then that's your right as a parent, just keep the zany indoctrination away from schools and stick to churches.
Then maybe the mindset will change, I mean being forced to essentially live and study with people of all backgrounds has got to be better than drawing lines in the sand.
Its the only way I see the madness stopping and the weapons caches finally running dry.

re the title of the thread its ironic , the schools are free , any one can step off a plane and send the kids to a free school , or if needed a free bed in there local hospitals ect , i think we should change this tbh. as its clealy unappreciated and milked for its full worth.

UK is not going to stop any children going to Afghan school or Zastava school because this schools are not funded by the Govt, imagine millions of tax payers money they are saving so our education secretary is not giving any notice who cares we need labourers in UK.

i thought the UK was a secular state until i did a search and it seems not to be. just my opinion but UK government needs to review this and keep religion out of schools and government. A gallop pole in 07-08 shows UK as 71% irreligious (Q.Is religion important? A. No).
why should those 71% of the people have to put up with any religion in their schools to keep 29% happy?
keep religion at home and church.

Ireland is 42% in same poll and secular (officially anyway, still religion classes and church interference in schools)

The solution is that such schools where Muslim children are in majority may be opted out as Muslim Academies. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school. Bilingual Muslim children need bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods.

Muslim schools promote tolerance and harmony between different cultural and religious traditions. They develop self-confidence and self-esteem in Muslim children because they educate them according to their needs and demands.

But non Muslim childern & teachers have no place in a Muslim school? How is this promoting tolerance & harmony?

I only bring him into this as he spent his first 21 years in Alexandria, Egypt. Now surely he recieved a Muslim education... After all, Egypt is a Muslim state.

In my own town, a hotel was told to stop flying the union jack 'in case it upsets other cultures'

Speaking English does not promote integration into British, American and Australian societies, and broaden opportunities. English speaking Muslim youths are angry, frustrated and extremist, thanks to English language

So coming to a country and NOT learning the indigenous language is a good thing? I realise this is just a copy and paste job, but have you even read it?

Tell you what, hows about I go to a muslim country, dont learn the language, flaunt my religion, whilst denouncing islam, set up an english/christian only school and demand state funding, make the government of said country ignore the traditions of their own in case it upset me? and when a certain proportion of the population dont like it (heaven forbid) then i'll start pi55ing and moaning about racial hatred.

Take a look at most muslim countries they are in turmoil with war and religious tensions between different sects.

They have killed more of their brothers than any other nation and still do
to this day and every day.
