I was a wee nipper back then, but I've got the photo's to prove I was there.

Tortured by Abba, Country & western and lot's of nasty stuff I've managed to block out. But there were always Queen & Paper Lace to pick me up a bit.

School film club... One of our dinosaurs is missing will forever be etched into my mind.

Kids tv seemed to be more about educating & exercising our brains. Where now it's how hip & street they can make it.... Bagpuss, Jamie & his magic tourch, Chorlton & the Wheelies, Why don't you, Jim'll Fix it, Tisswazz, Multicoloured swap shop.

    Star Wars!

born in 69, so grew up in the 70's, what I do remember is... when you got in from school, you were kicked out on the street to play and weren't allowed back in till dark . Kids nowadays are too busy to go out to play, spoiled rotten . And of course, the Baycity rollers.... wow

I was a Smoothie back then, Two Tone suit, Ben Sherman shirts, Harrington Jackets, Crombie Coat with a red hankie in the top pocket held in with a gold tie-pin, Levi Stay Press trousers, Brogues or Loafers shoes or Highly polished ox-blood Doc Martins for the footy.

missed the 70s, being born in 77 and that; but always saw the 70's as a rehearsal for the 80s....

I think I missed them really. I "went" in 1971 when I left school and didn't get back till 1983. No idea where I was.

i've heard of these 70's you speak of and i'm of the opinion that it was a far more superior decade than the world has had since. i was born in 79 so i was lumbered with the sh1tty 80's & 90's to help me become a man.
now, since i've become a man, i want to be a kid again, but a kid in the 70's

Easy for you to say , I was born in 1990, so shity time, but those 90s were not "normal" 90s in my country since there was war going on till 1995. So those 90s were more similar to 80s in some other, western country.

Yeah, Steel quarter tips if you got them done by a cobbler or you could use Blakeys that you hammered into the heels yourself.
