The type of people who let their dogs onto furniture, feed them first, let them dominate, sure I know the type. They are the last people on earth who should own such a dog or any dog for that matter.
Good people train bad dogs, the same results, in fact worse could come from any breed.
No child should be left unattended with any dog, thats basic pack mentality.

Just because you do it doesn't make it right. The rescue dog would have been thoroughly tested before even being considered for rehoming. As for leaving your kids with your dogs, your kids. Ask anyone who specialises with dogs, see what their opinion is.

i agree that its to do with the way the dog is brought up by the owner but i really do not see the point in owning a pit bull due to the law at the end of the day it could be taken off you and destroyed. That is not fare on the dog. Why would anyone take that risk if they love the breed?

do the owners have to worry when taking this breed out for a walk that they may be stopped by the law? or do the owners keep them confined to there property?

i got an irish wolfhound and two half siamese cats/mother&son
my wolfhound has got to be the most placid creature i have ever come across, espescially considering her size, she weighs roughly 65 kilos so you can imagine how big she is,has a sofa all to herself
the cats love her to bits, they sleep with her as its probably the warmest part of the house
after owning a wolfhound once i dont think i could have any other breed, they are an amazing breed imho
and the siamese cats are completely daft, dont think i could deal with pure siamese cats but half breed is ok,
my dogs well trained and knows whos boss, you have to be the master, they like that, she never ever gets fed before the family, golden rule, also she never ever enters the house first after walks, another golden rule
all taught to me by the trainer i used when she was a puppy
they have to know who is boss at all times, you will then get the most amount of respect and love from your animal

Destruction isn't always needed. If it's shown that the dog is well trained, not aggressive & has a good home you can apply for a license to keep them.

did the vet charge the full price for repairs, or just the price of replacement parts?
