My 1st and best mobile device was one of these:

Psion Organiser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ive still got it somewhere, it does still work BUT makes a loud buzzing noise and the battery goes in about 2 mins, it was back then 25 years ago super high tech, its just a shame it didnt have a mobile phone built in I would still be using it today, well maybe not

Found a few obscure consoles online; some of them are familiar, dont THINK the others ever made it to these shores..some interesting devices amongst them

                          Casio Loopy (My Seal Computer)
The Casio My Seal Computer model SV-100 was the first video game console made exclusively girls. This console, also called the Casio Loopy, walked a gray line as to what is considered a console. The "Super Famicom like" cartridges contained interactive graphics which allowed the gamer to choose different fashion outfits for the onscreen anime characters. As an additional novelty, the Loopy allowed the gamer the ability to print the onscreen graphics onto sticker / label paper with it's built in printer.
Was the marketing strategy successful? We suppose only Japanese female gamers would know.
FACT: The Casio Loopy also came with an adapter like device called the "Magical Shop Word Processor" (perhaps the most notable aspect of this console). This adapter plugged into the cartridge slot and contained A\V composite input jacks. These jacks could be used to plug in external video sources such as a VCR or DVD. The input can then be made into stickers or labels using the onscreen menu. It also allowed you the ability to add text to your stickers, although the text is in Kanji.

                          Amstrad GX4000

Amstrad's GX4000 was the second UK-developed console to be released on the market. The console retailed at ?***8218;?99 and came with a main adapter, TV lead, two paddle control units and a game called "Burnin' Rubber". It featured a unique case design that looked like a space ship. It was even demonstrated as such on the packaging. Does this mean it was Space Age? Well, no, not really.
Amstrad, seeing the ever increasing money to be made in console video game market, followed in the same footsteps as many other computer companies had. The GX4000 was actually a modified CPC6128+ computer. This allowed The GX4000 to be compatible with a majority of CPC+ computer line software.
Unfortunately the Amstrad GX4000 did not fare well in this growing market. In a matter of weeks the system could be bought at discounted prices. Popular UK videogame magazines marked the system as "the worst system of the month" as voted by most readers.

I vaguely remember that, I think it was called the global ADX .

I didn't need one as my receiver could tune into the higher (or was it lower) frequencies. IIRC that little box would shift the frequency to ones that the older boxes were capable of receiving.
